Vivo Eye Palette

This Eye palette is a must, this is an essential in my makeup kit this is the one product I always bring with my and is great for both Day and Evening makeup. This palette is from the range; Vivo which is a range brought out by Tesco, you can buy it online and also in some stores. I bought this product because I thought the colours looked really nice and I wanted to see what they were like and I'm so glad I bought it! This eye palette only costs £3.99 which is fantastic for the fact you get 12 eyeshadows!

As you can see from this image the eyeshadows are all really pigmented, their are 10 iridescent shades and 2 matte shades. Their are a great variety of colours and you can blend them together really easily, you can create a variety of different looks with these colours; you can create a dark smokey eye or a very subtle pale pink. I also think that these colours work well with all skin tones so everyone will love this product, I was a bit worried about how good these eyeshadows would be because of the price but I would say they are amazing. They do not drop down on to the face that much, they are really pigmented, easy to blend and last a long time. I've used this palette in my 'XO' tutorial and also use it for lots of other photos, I'm going to use it again in my next tutorial so you can see the colours again.

Models Own Review

Hyper Gel

I've heard lots of reviews about this product and I really wanted to try it out for myself so I could see what it was like! I am a trained nail technician in Bio Sculpture which are gel overlays so I was really excited to try a nail polish out that has a gel like formula. I have to admit that I have really weak nails  I got this from my mum, thanks mum!

This colour I bought is called; Pink Veneer, which is a pale pink colour. I bought this colour as I thought this colour would be great going into spring. The nail polish claims to have a mega shine and is enriched with lotus flower oil, I really like the design of the bottle the top of the bottle shows off the colour and also shows the high shine and gel effect the nail polish is meant to give your nails.

Apologies for the really bad photo I took on my phone, here is a photo of the first layer of the hyper gel product. I have to say I was really disappointed with this product, as you may be able to see from the photo the polish is really thick yet very runny it does drip off the brush even when you wipe excess off on the bottle. I would say though I am happy with the pigmentation, I applied two coats and this is all you need. Once I have finished with two coats I was not happy with the finished look, the polish looked really thick and did not have a gel like finish, this may be because of my nail type but my friend who has strong nails also did not like the final look on her. I wouldn't say it had a mega shine on me and I even applied a top coat to add shine and stop it from chipping. The polish chipped on my nails within 24 hours and also took ages to dry because of how thick the polish was. I would say I am disappointed with this product which is a shame because I was really excited to use it.

How Cool is this?

I recently was shopping at the Shepherds's Bush Westfield Shopping Centre and came across this Models Own  Shop and I just fell in love with the Design!!!

The design of this store is as you can probably see a nail varnish bottle, which I think is so clever. I have never seen a models own store before I've only seen their products in other stores such as boots and Superdrug, in this little shop they had two sales assistants. They were both really helpful and told me about all the products and also the great offers they've got at the moment. I bought one of the Hypergel Nail Polishes as I've wanted to try one of them for ages and were £5 they did have offers on  like 5 polishes for £20 but I only got one today because I want to see what they are like. I just love the design of this little shop and the sales assistants were really friendly so if your at Shepherds's Bush defiantly go check it out!!

I think i'm in love.

I think i'm in love....I got this new YSL lipstick for my birthday and it is an amazing colour! I have never had a YSL lipstick before and I am very lucky that my sister bought it for me, this one here pictured in the photo is from the Rouge Volupte range and is colour 31.

Firstly let me start by saying how amazing is the packaging, I have to admit I do love it when I buy makeup and it comes in great packaging and this one is gorgeous! The case is gold and is actually quite heavy but I don't mind because then it feels more expensive and you know it is made well. Also in the middle of the case is the colour of the lipstick inside, so these are individual for each lipstick, I find this really handy because if you had more than one YSL lipstick you can just look at the colour on the case rather than having to open up the lipstick.

This lipstick has a very creamy texture, I would say even more than Mac's Cremesheen lipsticks. I find this lipstick to be very moisturising and because it has a creamy consistency it is really easy to apply. I find with this one if you are just touching it up on the go you don't need a mirror all the time. This lipstick is also very pigmented which is great as you only need to build the colour the up, I have used this lipstick with Macs prolong wear lip pencil in shock value, I apply it all over the lip and then apply this on top, they work together really well. The only thing I would say is that because of its creamy consistency when I am drinking a drink with this on it does come off on the glass a lot but the colour doesn't come off that much on my lips which is good as it could be very embarrassing!! I would defiantly say to invest in a YSL Lipstick or ask for one for a special occasion, they come in a great range of colours and I always feel great when I get this out of handbag!!

Here are two pictures of me wearing my YSL lipstick!!

Behind the Scenes of Rita Ora's new campaign
Today is the day that Rita Ora's new collection for Rimmel is finally available nationwide. Her first ever collection consists of Lip Crayons and Nail Varnish. Rita has brought out 12 nail varnishes ranging for white to a bright blue. What I love about the nail varnishes are that they are the 60 second nail polishes so they are designed to dry super quick, which is perfect because one of my pet hates is waiting for nail varnish to dry!! Also I love the names of all the polishes their is a dark red colour called; Rita Rouge and she has named others Don't be shy, Pillow Talk and Blindfold me. They are really fun names that also show off Rita's personality because they are fun yet flirtatious. The nail polishes retail at £3.69 which is a great price and I can't wait to get some, Superdrug currently have them on offer for buy one get the second half price!!

Rita Ora has also brought out 6 Colour Rush balms, which are moisturising lip crayons. These range from nude to pinks, red and violet. These products are a great way to add colour to your makeup while also living your lips hydrated and are a great alternative to lipstick. The lip crayons are £5.99 and are also on offer in super drug, I can't wait to try the colour All you need is pink which is a red pink colour!! All of these colours are perfect for spring / summer.

Binky for Rimmel

Binky from the famous British reality show; Made in Chelsea is now going to be the face of Rimmel's new Sunshimmer campaign. Sunshimmer is Rimmel's tanning and bronzing range, their are around 18 products in this range and they all come in different shades which is perfect because then everyone can find a tanning shade that will suit them.

Here is the image of Binky that has been realised as part of the Sunshimmer campaign. Binky is a great person for the campaign as she is always seen with a great tan on the show and she loves her beauty products, she is also a very liked character on the show so it works well for Rimmels target market. I use the Sunshimmer instant fake tan all the time, if I haven't tanned myself before going out I will always put on Rimmels instant fake tan and I find it works really well. It gives an even application and a great colour, I also love how their are lots of different instant fake tan types to choose from; theirs Matt, Shimmer and waterproof and you can pick between three different shades and if you want it in a gel, moose or a spray.  Their all at a really good price as well with the maximum price point being £7.99. I will be doing another blog post on different fake tan products so look out for that, but I would defiantly recommend using Rimmels instant fake tan, I love it!!!

B.Water

I bought this skincare product 2 months ago because my friend told me about it and I wanted to give it a try as I love trying out lots of new beauty products. It is from a range called B., which is a range brought out by Superdrug, the range sells both makeup and skincare and it is very reasonable. This is the first product I have bought from the range and it is called the B.Pure Micellar Water and it is described as a 3 in 1 product that; Cleanses, Tones and Refreshes your skin. For the fact that is does 3 things it is a bargain at £4.99 and this range tends to be on offer a lot so you can get it even cheaper. I used this product after I removed my makeup to remove the remaining makeup and to make my skin extra clean. I would put a little bit on a cotton wool pad and sweep it over my face, it is really good for taking stubborn makeup off that is left on my face. However this product did not suit my skin type,  I felt it brought my out in blemishes and made my skin feel dry. It may of not been the product that brought me out in blemishes because I started using this product when the weather started getting colder so it could of been the weather, I am going to try and use it again in the summer and see how I get on with it. My friend that recommend this product to me loves it and gets on with it really well. It's only £4.99 so I would defiantly give it a try as it could work for you, I am going to go buy some more products from this range and see how I get on with them.

Popcorn

I got this new product for Christmas called Popcorn which I have never used before. It's a lip scrub from Lush and costs £5.25, I have been using this product for a while now and I love it and leaves my lips feeling really soft.

All of the ingredients in this lip scrub are completely natural it has in it; Caster sugar, organic jojoba oil, fine sea salt, polenta, popping candy, extra virgin coconut oil and flavouring. It smells really nice and does have a buttery popcorn sent and the fun thing about this product is that once you have finished rubbing it into your lips you can just lick it off after because it is just sugar and oil. I have to say when I first started to using this product I did find it strange being able to eat it after but now I've got used to it. It is perfect to use with the dry weather we are having at the moment and is a great way to prepare your lips before applying your lipstick as it makes the lips really smooth. The only down side to this product is because of the sea salt used it does have a slight salty at the start but then luckily the sweet taste does take over, so it's not too bad! I would defiantly say this is a must for the winter and great prep for creating a bold lip!
